My selfless partner has recently start her 3 year journey to becoming an adult nurse. Although she tried her best to save as much money as she could before the University course started, the endless cost of daily commutes and purchasing of materials/books is starting to burden what should be a bright future to look forward to - instead it's a constant worry of having enough money to run her car and own the necessary educational books.
Me; I do work, however, i work in an ever increasingly doubtful oil and gas sector as a grade three engineer (one step up the working ladder from an apprentice) and therefore do not earn a great deal. The money which i do earn is used to pay our own bills and the little left over is saved as a house deposit many years from now.
The parents; Extremely generous and willing to help despite having their own bills and outgoings.
As you can see, this fund raising event has not come from a lazy, half-hearted reason but a genuine plea for help towards a real deserving person in order to fulfil their dream to becoming a nurse and giving back to the community.
