Help a daddy get to his son

In 2015, James' ex-wife talked about exploring a new life in Canada with their son. James consented but knew that if they chose to stay in Canada, it would mean he, his new wife and baby daughter would have to move also so he could continue to be a father to his son. The 8 months without his son while they got settled in Canada was very difficult (and continues to be over two years later) until recently when he sold some belongings, borrowed money and with huge support from his family, had enough funds to go and visit and find out if they were going to stay or come back.

Now he knows they're settled and not coming back to the UK unfortunately, he lacks the funds needed to emigrate to Canada with his very understanding wife and baby girl.

As you can imagine, emigrating and leaving everyone and everything you have built and care about behind is a daunting task for anyone let alone being a new mother but she agreed as they are a strong unit. Now they have the hard, expensive and lengthy task of working through the immigration process and trying to raise enough money to get them and their new baby there. This will help them to pay for visas, the immigration fees and secure a place to stay initially ensuring their baby is safe in a new country where they have no support network.

Please help this couple. They have struggled through so much as a family in the past four years (cancer, job loss, single wage covering family costs, complicated pregnancy/labour) and this is another challenge that seems impossible without help. Please help a daddy see his little boy grow up and let him meet his baby sister.

This is not a holiday for them, it's a move for good. It means leaving everything they've known to follow James' ex wife, but it's his son, they HAVE to get there. James is a loving and caring father who must be with his son and his son must grow up knowing and being shaped by him. The past two years only seeing his son twice is crushing this man a little more each day and financially crippling them
