Help 27yrs old Sasha fight cancer

Hello all. Nice to meet you.

My name is Sasha, a 27 yrs old girl who was diagnosed with PMB Lymphoma (stage 4) in Dec 22. Having been an optimist to fight the battle, I had 6 chemotherapies, one more left to finish the whole treatment. While I was thrilled on my way to announce victory, the most unfortunate happened-the relapse. With its terrifying rapid re-growth particularly during the chemotherapy, my doctor assumes that second line chemotherapy + marrow bone transplant is considered ineffective.

My only hope and option come down to Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy (Car T).

Unfortunately, Hong Kong public hospital does not provide this technology. The cost of Car T is extremely high, it takes HKD 2.m. My father has been unemployed for years due to Covid. My mother is only a bus driver and she has been raising my bother, sister and me on her own. We cannot afford the medical fee but Car T is my only hope to survive through this lymphoma.

I have been working as a teacher before I started chemotherapy. Through this job I have unlocked meaningful connections among people. I’d like to continue my passion in teaching English as a Secondary Language to young people and adults like me. I believe that through this, societies can better communicate to each other and connect to many wonderful things in the world. At my age, I believe I have yet to reach more learners and I have yet to learn more things as well.

Therefore, by this fundraising, I hope I can gather enough money to fight lymphoma through Car T. Each of your kindness is truly and eternally appreciated. I am forever grateful for all the love and support.

大家好我係Sasha，今年 27 歲， 2022年12 月 被診斷出患有罕見的淋巴瘤（PMBL)（第 4 期）。一直我都非常樂觀抗癌，做左 6 次化療，原本以為做多一次就可以好番。不幸病情復發，腫瘤重新快速生長，而且係化療期間生長，所以醫生認為二線化療 + 骨髓移植大機會無效。

我唯一既希望只得嵌合抗原受體 T 細胞療法 (Car T)。

好遺憾香港公立醫院無提供呢項技術去醫我呢類既血癌。 Car T既造價極高，需要接近200萬港元。爸爸媽媽自小離異，我爸爸疫情期間沒有收入，我媽媽係巴士司機，一個人養大我哥哥、妹妹同我。 治療既期間我無辨法工作，應付日常開支同藥費已經用哂我既積蓄，我地無能力負擔咁昂貴既醫療費，但 Car T 係我打嬴淋巴瘤既唯一希望。

我未患病前係一個成人英文老師。我透過呢份工作多左好多人與人之間有意義的聯繫。我想繼續用我既熱情，用英語作為第二語言去教更多同我一樣既年輕人同成年人。我相信透過學習語言可以接觸到世界更多美好既事物。我總好年輕，我相信我總可以接觸到更多的學生，總可以學習更多更多既事。
