Helmets for Company B

My son Mike, whose company has been deployed to Israel's border with Lebanon, originally requested my help to raise funds to purchase improved combat helmets for his company -- Company B of Battalion 7012 of the Alexandroni Brigade of the Israel Defense Forces.

However, due to our inability to raise enough money to purchase improved helmets for the entire company, and considering that the length of the war has depleted other operational gear that Company B requires in order to continue to effectively achieve its mission of securing the northern border against Hezbollah, we will repurpose the collected funds of the campaign to satisfy other essential needs of Company B. These include, but are not limited to, winter gear and combat rations not provided by the army for lengthy periods in the field.

In addition to satisfying the foregoing needs, we intend to use some of the funds to support the families of Company B reserve soldiers from low socio-economic backgrounds whose present service has put an even greater strain on their finances.

Although everything is in the Hands of God, He shapes History through the conduct of people, especially our people. We have only one Jewish State. So, let's strive to protect it. Am Yisrael Chai! -- the People of Israel live!
