- Hello Go Fund Me ...
- My name is Leona "Vanessa" Johnson and I am a 38 year old Single Mother of 2. I have a 14year old son named Cj who's in the 9th grade and a Daughter named Samantha who was in College full time until Nov.3rd @ 2pm when an uninsured motorist crashed into my car while on his cell phone. I have been a single mother for 10years now and have never once asked for help including never ever being on welfare or assistance, I have no parents (my mother is dying of cancer of the liver and I never knew my father) and my sister has her own troubles and my brother is in the Army both whom I wouldn't dare burden as they both are struggling to stay afloat. I have been at UC Davis medical center in Sacramento , Ca since the accident and after being torn out of my Saturn (a Cadillac Escalade is the vehicle that hit my little commuter car) with the jaws of life my life has changed drastically.
- For the very first time in my life as I choke up and still retaining some sense of pride have humbled my self and ask you the community of what I see as ANGELS of GO FUND me for your help and generosity so that my children and I make it out of this. I know without a doubt that GOD has been by my side this entire time and Although the certainty of me walking again is up in the air I still thank him all day every day for allowing me to live through this accident because from what the entire team of police, fire department, paramedics and my entire surgical ,orthodo and nurse team has said I shouldn't be alive ...
- I am indeed lucky but now I'm faced with enormous medical bills piling up and unable to pay the rent on my apartment , the electricity or even buy groceries...
- My daughter god bless her heart made me cry and yet proud although it breaks my heart knowing she's had to give up her dreams and put her life on hold ...She quit school and within a day of my accident found a job as a cocktail waitress at Country Club lanes bowling ally ...She takes a LYFT or an UBER every night at5pm and doesn't return home until 3am ..she's making 10$an hour an sometimes makes up to $40 a day in tips which half goes to her transportation ...She is trying her best to keep us afloat .
- I am a manager for restaurant and a bartender I work both jobs full time with no days off and without the use of my left arm and being in a wheelchair not knowing if I'll walk again I have no idea what's next.
- There is only liability insurance on my car and I paid a lot for it and without uninsured motorist protection and the person hitting me having no insurance at all (the lawyer checked ) I am completely putting all my trust into God and the kindness of all of you ...
- Please know any donation will be treasured and any amount no matter the denomination will be used to save us and get us back on track....
- I've never been the type of person to feel sorry for myself I want to be able to walk again and continue to raise my children to contribute to society as I want to be able to again as well ...My family and I thank you from the bottom of hearts for taking time out of your lives to help us and we ask god to bless you ...Thank you
