Hearing Aid Costs, Doug beat cancer but can’t hear

Doug was diagnosed with stage iv lung cancer with 6 brain mets in 2017. He has been cancer free for 2 years now. In July 2020, he had a stroke, an after effect of the brain radiology we believe as he has no other underlying problems to cause a stroke. Also, his hearing has gotten from bad to severe hearing loss. It is hard enough for him to enjoy life, but being left out of almost every conversation around him doesn't help. We can't really afford the co-pay, it would take his entire disability check or pretty much one of my two paychecks each month to cover it. WIth the economy the way it has been, our credit is apparently not good enough for CareCredit, so we don't really know where to turn at this point, so I'm trying anything. Thank you.
