Harbour Island (Briland) Night Life

As the world continues its fight against COVID-19, small communities and businesses remain some of the hardest hit. They feel the full brunt of the economic hardship, with near-total unemployment. In particular, the small community of Harbour Island, Bahamas has been severely impacted by the global economic shutdown.

If you've ever visited the beautiful and picturesque Harbour Island, Bahamas, you would have surely encountered some of the most friendly, loving and kind-hearted people. However, now, our friends and family on Briland are really suffering and they need our help.

A group of local business owners have therefore come together - namely Lotus Major of JJ's Sporting Bar, Sedale Pennerman of Beyond The Reef, Hitler Percentie of the Vic-Hum Club and Carmen 'Selecta Carmen' Francis, Local DJ and entertainer - to ask for donations or assistance in order to help their staff through this unprecedented time that we all are facing together.

These business owners and entertainers are a fundamental part of Harbour Island life, providing a nightlife experience on the island that is second to none. Season after season they offer us hospitality experiences that last a lifetime.

The timing of this crisis means that there is no tourism on the island during one of Harbour Island’s peak seasons, where businesses would typically earn enough to last throughout the summer and following hurricane season. They are currently feeling the effects of this crisis as it relates to keeping their staff and ensuring that their businesses do not close down completely without the opportunity of recovering.

All funds raised will be divided and distributed between the coalition members as described above. Your generous contributions towards this goal will ensure that these individuals can afford basic necessities such as groceries and medical essentials.
