Hannah Quick’s Camp America Adventure

Hello everyone , thanks for visiting my page. I’ve set up this Go Get Fundraising page as I’m going to be embarking on a 4 month venture next summer in America which I’m keen to raise funds for . I’ve chosen to set up a fundraising page with GGF, not only to help towards my personal trip but also to raise money and awareness for a charity that I feel very passionate about.

Diverse Abilities is an independent, not for profit organization working together with families to help meet the needs of local people, of all ages, with physical and learning disabilities. They are dedicated to supporting their needs today and into the future while enabling them to experience a lifetime of opportunities and challenges.

I’ve been working at Langside School, which is directly linked with the Diverse Abilities charity here in Dorset and I know that any money that is received by the school is going towards some remarkable things that benefit the young individuals who attend Langside. The care staff and teachers work exceptionally hard to help the severely disabled children and I’d really love to be able to give something back to them, so that they know how much they’re appreciated in our community.

As I’ve enjoyed my experience with Langside so much, I’ve requested to be placed in an underprivileged and special needs camp in America so I’m really thankful to Langside for my experience. The money that I’ll raise will go towards flights and money towards my living in America as well as half of the money raised going to my chosen charity, Diverse Abilities. I need to ideally raise around £500 towards my own trip and will donate the rest (ideally the other £500) to Diverse Abilities but whatever my final total , I will split it 50% .

I’m hoping by setting up this Go Get Fundraising Page I’m able to give something back to the amazing experience I’ve had with Langside and fundraise some money for my next experience with Camp America.
