I am Elaine Morris 46 years of age, resident of South Africa, KwaZulu Natal Melmoth Mfanefile rural area. An experience community liaison officer and profession in HAST HIV/AIDS/STI/TB. A single parent of two biological kids a grandmother, and parenting two high school boys living with me. I live in my late parents home with my eldest sister who is a pensioner. I am currently unemployed and make means by selling clothes from home.my late mother use to take in needy kids and grew them up, she received no donations before and after her pension. She received a very small amount from the social welfare and my father did not have a good job but my mom manage to raise about 15/20 of us. My eldest sister who is now a pensioner was a great help those years as, we were so many. She was employed at the pharmacy and supported us for many years together with my mom. The two boys I am parenting I took them in through my son who is a third year law student. These boys are friends of my son I had no idea what they were going through hence hunger and neglect. I am aware there are many kids in the same situation as Nomzamo and Mfana, as unemployed as I am I still believe that no child should go to school on an empty stomach and without motivation support, love and care. My two adopted sons not by law are been well taken care of proper school uniforms, school shoes, bags required stationeries, toiletries and monitoring of school work and assistance where needed for homework and assignment. The advantages of the kids growing up with us is the fluent english speaking, reading and writing. I also have experience caring for the sick I have nursed my mom till her last days, my nefew who was about to throw the towel in, all he needed was proper support, love and understanding. I nursed the late Thandazile but sadly her illness took her within a month, an took my eldest sister who was living in Eshowe brought her back home due to being very ill and numerous operations he is now 90% recovered and back to her old self. I have donated at two funerals in our community. I am on medication myself for chronic disease, seizures and anxiety. What helps me forget about my situation and give me confident is helping others and advising about education and safe sex and attending the hospital on the due date eating and taking medication. The funds I receive will help those in desperate need main focus school kids, HIV/AIDs/TB. And families during a funeral. And only to those not receiving any income of any sort. The government does provide food parcels but in our community things are not done accordingly, the food parcels go to people who are working, receiving grant and self employed. This is my first project my first campaign, I strongly believe I have the capability to reach out and touch many lives . please open your heart's reach out and touch a live, in honour of my late mother who started caring for the needy, South Africa and the lives of those in desperate need. TOGETHER LETS PUT AN END TO POVERTY
