Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page!
For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by all sorts of animals. Whether it was dogs, cats, anacondas or chimpanzees, learning about the different species that our beautiful planet has to offer has always been a passion of mine. In university, I studied Biology and Bioanthropology with special focuses on biodiversity and conservation. My dream now is to have a career that involves the care of wildlife species and the conservation of their habitats.
Currently, I am in my last semester of Veterinary Nursing school and for my final field placement, I have decided that it would be a great opportunity for me to go overseas for a Wildlife Rehabilitation and Medical Field Course in Guatemala. The wildlife rehabilitation center that I will be travelling to takes in over 500 animals of more than 40 different species. Many of which are in need of care due to habitat loss or confiscation from illegal pet trade. With this program, I will learn how to provide medical care for a wide range of exciting wildlife species including various monkeys, alligators, exotic birds and wild cats while applying the skills that I have learned from school in a clinical setting.
I am hoping that with your help I can raise money to go towards the program fees for my learning experience. Anything helps so I will gladly accept any donations!
