Guatamala Medical Trip

As many of you know, I recently graduated from Texas State University. I have a degree in Kinesiology, and it has been a passion of mine to be a helping hand in the medical community. After countless applications to hospitals and clinics I felt like none of the positions were quite what I was looking for. That is when I decided to go bigger! I felt called to combine my love for travel and my passion to help others. I found a company called International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ), and they host volunteers in over 50 countries every year. I am fortunate enough to have been accepted into one of their medical trips to Guatemala for two weeks. During these two weeks, I will be working with local doctors and nurses in small clinics for the poor, providing check-ups and basic medical care within the communities. I am thrilled for this experience to gain more knowledge and be apart of something bigger; however, this trip comes at a cost. The company requires a high fee to help afford medical supplies, food, housing, and flights. I have been working crazy hours this summer to try and save up for this trip but bills and tuition can hinder that. I hate asking for money, and I have never done this before, but if there is anyway y'all could help even a little, I would greatly appreaciate it. If you cannot afford to help, I completely understand. All I ask for is prayers for me, the other volunteers, and the people we will be serving in Guatemala.
