To Whom It May Concern

I am currently a final year student at Tshwane University of Technology (SA), studying towards Advanced Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Fortunately, I have managed to register for 2021 academic year, thank you for the support that you have been showing lately. I would not be where I am today if it was not for your generous assistance. Even though I managed to register, I still owe the institution more than I was seeking before.

It has been my dream to join the pharmaceutical industry ever since I was a young boy living in the rural areas of Eastern Cape. Managing to obtain this qualification will give me courage to make a change to the world and to my family, hence they are looking up to me since I am the first born of eight siblings and I am the first generation to set a foot at higher institution in my family. The arrival of the Variant (COVID-19) has made a tragic change in my life which resulted to unemployment of myself and my parents as well. My mother lost her Job in 2018 while I was doing my third year in National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Johannesburg. I was torn apart but I was hoping that things would get better after finishing my Diploma in 2019. Luckily, I was being hired by one of the biggest Pharmaceutical companies at the end of the year 2019 as a student so that I can obtain my Diploma.

Things were better while I was working, even my father was also working so we were able to maintain our family. Early 2020, my farther got retrenched after 10 years of working. I was anxious because that is where I realized that I have to grow and stand for my family since things were going South at our side, only to realize that I am facing the challenge of my contract termination on July 2020. Reason behind the termination of my contract was due to the Variant and lack of funding by the organization.

Let me stop whining and tell you something a little bit positive. During my training in that Pharmaceutical Company as a student (Junior Product Development Technologist). My previous manager encouraged me to study Advanced Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences due to the passion I was showing when it comes to development of products or Research & Development. I thought maybe I would get a sponsor along the process or I would have obtained an employment offer so that I can pay my debt but things did not go as planned and I will not give up until I reach my destination. Since I am a believer, I believe that God will send his angels and rescue me.

I have gained so much knowledge from the development of a new drug up to Clinical studies. Now I am in the process of gaining knowledge on registration of Medicine. After finishing this course I will be able to study the safety, efficacy and toxicology of an Investigational drug. I will be able to perform efficiently in Clinical Trial studies and Quality of Medicine. In future I aspire to be one of the greatest Pharmaceutical Scientist, Clinical Trial Coordinator, Clinical Trial Assistant, Clinical Trial Associate, Medicinal Formulator or Product Development Technologist. Helping me raise this money will give me an opportunity to play a major impact in the pharmaceutical department.
