we provide foster care, adoption from care and kinship care support to meet the needs of children who cannot live with their own parents due to abuse or neglect.We also provide short-term care for those children under 12 whose families are going through troubles or breakdown.

For children who the Children's Court has permanently separated from their parents, we find long-term families who become permanent families. Some of these families go on to adopt. In long-term care we carefully match children and carers to find our children a permanent home. Carefully matching placements, along with the support our carers receive from us, ensures the placement has the best chance of success.

We support many children within their own family or social networks. We help grandparents, aunts and uncles and members of the community who take on the care of a child they know.
