Good Things to Good People

This is a preliminary draft for the project I am starting. I am an only child who has overcome many challenges the last few years, however, my obstacles took a toll on my two loving parents both financially and spiritually. Remember I will set about polishing my presentation, it's just that I want to make sure this site is legit and also not waste time since their anniversary is coming in March and phase one is attached to that. My overall goal is to repay them for the multiple rehabs stays, counseling sessions, and all the tangible nastiness that comes with pulling someone out of depression and substance abuse. They never gave up. In addition to that, I am creating a network of support for Adult only Children/Adult Adopted children. This is also in its early days but its growth after it starts will be part of another ongoing campaign. As only children age and begin to understand the unique challenges they face, its no wonder that we sometimes lose ourselves along the way. But all those details to come. Phase one, Raise money for an amazing anniversary for my parents, then I will attempt to tackle the amount of their retirement savings they selflessly gave. At the same time another campaign will hopefully start that will serve to connect and support others like myself who live frozen with fear.   Meanwhile I will continue to be a productive citizen, working, saving, loving and most importantly-living.  This is going to be a great year for ALL of us!   ALMOST FORGOT! Even if you choose to give elsewhere, please use whatever social networks you may have to spread the word! We live in a small South Texas town and the last thing I want to do is embarrass my parents...and I myself hope to maintain the standards of privacy AA and NA set out, especially since I'm hunting for additional employment. I will try to answer any questions I can (I think I'm allowed to here, correct?). In a perfect world, and for the most part in my daily life, I try to never shy away from telling others my story so that they don't ever have to live it.
