It is heartbreaking to know that over 105,000 Chicagoans do not have
the basic necessities that many of us take for granted.
The mission of Giving Them Hope is to provide blessing bags to the homeless and care boxes to children in underprivileged countries through the compassion and care of the local community. With each of these offerings, we strive to spread the love of Christ and give them hope for the future.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
We are currently raising money to fund our upcoming projects in the Chicago area! On Monday, April 8th, we will be hosting an event at Breakthrough Urban Ministries Men's Shelter in Chicago, Illinois. The event will include delicious food, fun games and of course - a lot of cheering! Alongside the fellowship we will be offering to the men at the shelter, we will be providing each guest with a blessing bag filled with essential items to which they do not easily have access. Things like toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, socks, soap and other everyday essentials - plus a few extra treats of course!
After the success of our very first event in February (a Valentine's Day serve at a women's shelter), we want to continue to be able to provide these events and bags to those who are homeless through the Chicago area. We know that we cannot do any of this without your help!

I absolutely love to see God working through this community of people, to help those that are less fortunate. I was able to be with Melissa and pass out blessing bags to those in Chicago that were without a home. The greatest lesson I learned is that homelessness does not define the individual. They are people like you and I that are trying to put their lives back together, and make it in this world. Be an angel to someone today, and give them hope. Jesus spent his time on Earth helping those less fortunate. Let us all take a lesson from the great book, and bring a piece of heaven to those that need it most! God bless you all!
