The Nwachincoluane Village/Community is a poor area with 379 low-income households, practicing subsistence agriculture. There is no water supply facilities in the area. The last water source using the lever is obsolete / not functional after the floods that occur from time to time.

Thus, they uses water from the spring water to capture it for the purpose of domestic consumption. In the nearby primary schools with 873 pupils, water is unavailable in the toilets. In such an environment, children must resort to open defecation around or even nearby the schoolyard. It is important to mention that lack of water affects negatively the schools records, particularly of the girls ‘drop out.

They miss school to fetch water for their households. The project area did not received any kind of official assistance during the outbreack of COVID -19. Students does not wash their hands because of lack of soap.
