GHS cheerleading 2012-2013

Spring of 2012

It is my pleasure to introduce myself as a member of the Gainesville High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad of 2012-2013. GHS Cheerleaders enjoy year long duties of supporting and cheering for the GHS football and basketball programs. We strive for perfection through daily cheer practices, weekly stunting practices at a local gymnastics center and two annual cheerleading camps (locally and UCA camp at Embry Riddle in Daytona Beach, FL.)

Each year 75-100 students try-out for the opportunity to be a GHS cheerleader, but only about 40-50 make it each year. Every cheerleader works extremely hard all year long for this opportunity. However, success is not without cost. Because of very limited budgets the school provides little to no financial support to our program. Each cheerleader is responsible for expenses such as uniforms (shirts, shorts, socks, shoes, warm-ups, bloomers, jackets, pom-poms, cheer uniform), cheer camps, fees for the gymnastics center, banquet, coaches, buses and more. This is the reason I write this letter to you, to request your support.

I appreciate your support on any level, or you can choose by becoming a Silver Sponsor ($25), a Gold Sponsor ($50), or a Platinum Sponsor ($75 or above). Contributions will be used only for the costs listed above. You could also choose to sponsor me for any other amount (yes, even below $25!). 

To express the squad’s and my gratitude, you (or company) will be listed as a sponsor in the GHS Football Program, which is widely distributed at all GHS football games in the fall of 2012 (over 1500 copies)
