Get Up Woman (GUW) is a group that helps abused women through relief & upliftment. Most women who experience this type of trauma feel isolated and have nowhere to turn to. GUW is a group that “walks the talk” with women through assistance with laying charges against their abusers & attackers at the police station and even as far as attending court hearings against attackers.

These women are removed from their toxic situations and a place of shelter is found for them and their minor children. Trauma counselling is arranged to begin the healing process and a journey of healing and self-discovery begins.

GUW Upliftment centre is used to provide upliftment & self-mastery courses so that women no longer remain in victim mode but begin to thrive. Many topics and lessons revolve around finding their true being & becoming a light to others on their journey.

The centre also provides relief to needy women in the form of groceries, toiletries, clothing, transport, recruitment opportunities, business opportunities, healing, rape prevention seminars & self- defence classes.

Do not ask the question; "Why didn't she leave him?" rather ask; “WHY DID HE HURT HER?"

Don’t say; "Why was she alone in the dark?" instead you should say; "WHY WAS HE?"

We will no longer ignore the problems in society, so we will fix it.
