Campaign Story
My grandaunt, Molly, has been married to a lovely man by the name of Merabi who is from Georgia, in the former Soviet Republic. He moved to South Africa about 20 years ago which is when he met my grandaunt.
Merabi was recently diagnosed with Vascular Alzheimer's Disease. His condition has gotten progressively worse so much so that he has forgotten my grandaunt and wakes up afraid because he does not remember where he is and wants to go home. He has wandered off on two different occasions trying to walk home.
My grandaunt is in her 60's but still works to support her family. However the money is not nearly enough to get Merabi home.
I have started this fundraiser to raise enough money for my grandaunt and Merabi to go to Georgia so he can be with family during this difficult time.
