GET KEVIN TO NYFA

Kevin is the youngest in his family and is the only one who has been accepted to study abroad. He was accepted at New York Film Academy, and plans to study a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Filmmaking for three years and thereafter his masters. He says that this would be the stepping stone to his future success.

It first started off in church for Kevin. At the age of 6, Kevin became quite involved in church. Later on, he started doing media at the Kids church at the age of 10 years old. He was also a part of the dance group at the church, which he loved doing! Three years later, everything changed for him. He decided to drop out of dancing to focus on Stage lighting in the main church, as he couldn't focus on two things that clash with each other. With the thunderdome(another venue within the Durban ch facility) been renovated, they required at lighting guy. Although they had a guy, they required someone who has knowledge of what happens in lighting, so he became the lighting designer for the youth.at the age of 13 years.

He has the great privilege to work alongside well-known lighting designers. For example, Michael Broderick, where he had the chance to gain a lot of information. He has also had the chance to design lights for many events but the biggest one he had to design was for Ntokozo Mbambo!

To conclude he has fallen in love with what goes on behind the scenes and therefore wants to pursue it by going to study more about what it takes to be the best and learning from the best!

All the money that you graciously donate will go towards his studies, accommodation and flight.
