In an isolated corner on the globe, a place nearly impossible to reach in this era, even with all of the techological advances of the last century, a sapphire has been unearthed. Dug up from the earth, washed and separated from the rocks and dirt that has surrounded it for millions of years, this sapphire has begun its journey. It will make its way through the treacherous mountains, jungles, and deserts that have kept it hidden for so long to a place likey half way around the world from its home, where it will be fashioned. Its true beauty will be revealed. A gem will be born. It will be adorned with gold or silver and accented with diamonds, rubies, or emeralds. It will be carefully packaged and shipped to yet another destination where it will be admired for its beauty by many. Then someone will see this beautiful sapphire and they will try on the ring, necklace, or bracelet that this gemstone dominates. "This is what I've been searching for." she says. She buys it. A hundred years from now her granddaughter will be passing it down to the next generation, recalling how beautiful the woman who guided her through her youth looked in it, recounting incredible stories of the woman who traveled the world to find the perfect sapphire piece, and how it is time for it to be passed on to the next adventerous soul to wear it with pride on every one of her life's endeavors.

This is what I want to do with my life. I want to learn and help create the jewelry that will be passed down from generation to generation, creating a bond and an epic tale of time.
