Campaign Story
Meet out little survivor George.
George was rescued from a farm in rural southern cape, South Africa
from a drunken farm worker. George is the only survivor of a litter of 7
puppies. All died from malnutrition and billary. We took him away
covered in ticks and filth, severely malnourished, dehydrated and on the
verge of death. He could not even drink water. It took a long drive
back to Cape Town, an immediate stop at the vet, tons of antibiotics, a
blood transfusion and weeks of care to pull him through.
He made it and turned into the most lovely dog imaginable and the love of our lives.
Three days ago George suddenly collapsed. The severe malnutrition that he suffered had a marked effect on his development and he has severe hip dysplasia. Although this was manageable up to now, His knee deteriorated to the extent that he now needs surgery to stop the patella from slipping out of place. We are currently in financial difficulty and simply can not afford the operation that he desperately needs. He is in constant pain and we have already cut our own expenses to the bone for medication.
Your small donation will help our baby run again. At three years old we can not imagine him having to be euthanized. Please help George!
