Hey everyone. The gaming industry over the last decade has slowly turned from a room of friends battling to be number one into a weekend alone talking over a headset. It's my goal to open up a social gaming club in my small town of Barnsley to help bring the element of social gaming back to life.
The idea is to give members a reason to leave their homes and visit the club. I'd do this through various methods such as daily tournaments and large events on weekends. Members would have rankings and leaderboards, rewards and prizes.
Whether it be competitively or socially, the gaming center is to bring the players together. After all, being number one on Mario Kart Monday or Fifa Friday would be rewarding.
I've had a lot of support from the local council and even more from the general public, but it's getting to a point where more help is needed to make this community a reality.
