Gabby’s Fight against Biliary Atresia

We are raising funds for a special little girl Gabby.

Gabby was was diagnosed with Biliry Artresia when she was just 8 months old - this basically meant her liver failed completely. he night she got to Donald Gordon Hospital doctors declared her 99% dead,they gave the family 24 hours to find a liver or she would die, everyone was tested and it was decided that her eldest half sister was the closest match, they went in for the procedure immediately and it was a success. but the story doesn't stop there. because the liver is a foreign object for little gabby's body, her immune system rejects it, so they have to suppress her immune system with medications which means she catches a life threatening virus almost every other week.

So while little Gabby waits to find a suitable donor or to recovery we want to assist the family who are now struggling to meet ends meet as her mom has has to stop working to attend to her daughter daily. Dad who is struggling to make ends meet and having to spend thousands a week to keep up with hospital bills and everyday Gabby needs. Most importantly we want to help them keep a roof over their head which they are R50000 in arrears and close to losing it.
