What Is G.I.R.L.S. with P.E.A.R.L.S?

G.I.R.L.S. with P.E.A.R.L.S. is a leadership program tailored for all female students who desire to enhance their emotional, social, and academic growth and development while completing their last transition year to middle school, high school, or college.

In a school community, every girl desires to fit in, be accepted by her peers, and reach her goals. When this is not achieved, she can manifest negative behaviors. This can lead to low or failing grades, low self-esteem, fighting, bullying, and other issues. G.I.R.L.S. with P.E.A.R.L.S. addresses these and many more areas of concern. The closed sessions help girls interact, relate, and impact others as they transform into leaders. This year, there are 31 eighth-grade girls in this program.

How Will Your Donation Help?

The donations from this funraiser support their transition program called "The Unveiling Ceremony." This evening program allows the youth members to demonstrate the skills they learned during their 28-week program. The first half is the student-run achievement program and the second half of the program is formal and honors the members. They get "unveiled" as L.A.D.I.E.S. for the first time in the presence of their family, friends, and teachers. Funds cover the cost to purchase gifts, awards, trophies, help with business attire and gown purchases, decorations, refreshments, and professional videography and photography.
