FURBABIES WITHOUT A VOICE NEED SHELTER

Every year thousands of dogs and cats are abandoned, abused, neglected and thrown away like garbage expected to fend for themselves. In Ukraine, it is estimated that over 50,000 dogs and cats are considered strays, roaming the streets in hopes of a meal, and those numbers did not count all Ukraine cities so the numbers are most likely much higher.

These precious furbabies are only hoping for a kind hand to offer them shelter from the cold. Hoping for the safe place to call home where they no longer have to fear for their lives on a daily basis. Hoping for a chance to be loved.

One woman has taken it upon herself to provide shelter to those furbabies in need, a grand mission considering the sheer numbers of strays in Ukraine, but a mission she feels she was destined to be part of...

Abushaeva Lyudmila had never initially intended to open an animal shelter. She and her family purchased 2-hectares of land outside the city in order to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the fresh air and peacefulness. To her surprise the very first winter in their new home brought several new mouths to feed as over 18 vats and 6 dogs were brought to her who needed immediate help.

Wounded, neglected and beaten animals who would not have survived the winter had Lyudmila not taken them in, and that is where it all began...

She quickly realized the dire need for help for these precious furbabies and took it upon herself to open a private animal shelter named "Faith" that today has over 200 cats and close to 70 dogs that all need daily care, food, shelter and most importantly... LOVE
