Building Pathways for access to Education for children in Azimio

The Azimio district in Arusha, Tanzania, situated in the African sub-continent, is a small village facing significant challenges to their children just to get to their schools, that many children opt out of going to school.

The children are met with a treacherous journey uphill, navigating through muddy terrain and slippery slopes caused by rainwater accumulation to reach their schools. This hazardous trek not only jeopardizes their safety but also leads to frequent slips and falls, putting their well-being at risk. I've witnessed firsthand the struggles these children face just to reach school. They deserve safe and accessible pathways to education!

To address these pressing challenges and provide a safe and conducive learning environment for the students, I have initiated the project to enhance the facilities at the Azimio schools. I met with local authorities and discussed a plan to build a pathway to the schools that is safe. This project involves constructing paved pathways and implementing drainage systems to mitigate the effects of heavy rainfall, with a total estimated cost of about $5000 and will be built in 3 phases. Please see the attached images for the detailed breakdown. This endeavor cannot be achieved alone and hence I appeal to you for your support .
