Funding for ATPL Pilot Course Education

Everyone has dreams. Everyone has goals and aspirations. I am an individual who has been working in the hospitality sector doing marketing for luxury properties. Yet, i have always wanted to pursue a career as a pilot.

In truth, i do not have the necessary prerequisites to apply as a pilot cadet with airlines. Even though i am armed with a degree, i lacked the necessary O level credits to successfully apply for a placement in these pilot training programmes. As a late bloomer, i took the long road to educational success, going through a technical school, a diploma and finally a university.

My early educational setbacks have proved to be a roadblock for me to pursue this aspiring goal to be a pilot. That is why this campaign is extremely important for me. I come from an average income family and holds a steady job, although not a well-paying one. I could only save enough for a year or a couple of year's living expenses, that if i do not include the educational expenses of an ATPL course.

There is a school in Singapore that opens up opportunities for late bloomers like me to pursue the dreams becoming a pilot. Yet, the costs are still prohibitive, with the total fees costing more than $150000.

I must admit. There are no perks for contributing to this goal of mine, except for helping someone fulfil his career dreams. I can only give you my word that i will someday pay it forward. As i would require this campaign to fully reach its targeted financial goals, should i fall far short of the intended target, this money will go to individuals or charities who require financial assistance for students who aspires to pursue educational dreams like mine.

I will also be taking on a weekend job of driving an Uber to supplement the income for additional savings. But a $150K is a long way to go. One can never be too old to take up an education. But it is different for pilot wannabes. I am 30, and time may soon be running out for me to apply.

An Aspiring Pilot
