Funding Alexander’s Masters degree program in Environmental Sciences

I am Alexander Zenasi from Malawi, the first born in the family of four children. Coming from a poor family background, achieving my educational goals has been challenging as my parents struggled with costs of my schooling thanks to a well-wisher family which helped me to complete my university education in 2018 at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources. I am passionate about advancing in academics in the field of Climate Change and Environment and I love to help things grow, working with rural communities in addressing environmental challenges affecting socio-economic well-being. Based on my academic merit, I have been accepted in to a Master's Degree program in Environmental Sciences majoring Climate Change and Environment with the University of Malawi, Chancellor College.

My studies will support my ongoing efforts to help sustainable ecosystems restoration and management in Malawi and bring more agroforestry principles to improve food security. I am not able to pay the tuition fees own my own since I do not have any stable source of income to meet the demand having also recovering from the cyclone freddy disaster which affected my family. I am in need of financial support to pay tuition fees for the Masters degree course costing (USD 4170.08) to complete the program in 2 years with 1 year of course work and another year of doing research work. By doing small jobs during school off days, I will be able to source funds for meeting transportation, rentals and other associated learning costs during the school period on my own.
