SG$120.00raised of SG$9,500.00 goal goal
Have you ever felt so helpless that you considered ending your life? Or do you know someone who struggles with suicidal thoughts daily?
The SAFE U Initiative (Singapore) is raising money to fund a place to serve as a Safe Space for individuals who are facing suicidal distress. The Safe Space will provide crisis intervention services pro bono so that individuals have an alternative to being involuntarily admitted into a psychiatric institution. Volunteer training will also be provided free and therefore funds will be required to sustain services and training sessions on a long-term basis.
We are committed to providing a dignified suicide support experience to anyone in need as we believe even individuals who have mental health distress deserve to be treated with the utmost respect.
The funds will further go into creating programmes such as a temporary shelter for individuals who need to be protected from adverse home environments and for monitoring purposes. We also hope to promote recovery through programmes which encourage social integration through recreational activities and support groups as well as creating a sustainable social impact by empowering clients to volunteer and give back to society.
