Campaign Story
There is a need to preserve Prehistoric Artifacts in our local area, Perry County Indiana, adjoining counties, Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky. Many Artifacts found and in local collections are being sold off and leaving the area. This is a great loss to our history. Losing our Prehistoric Artifacts leaves an educational void for all, preschool and school age children, young adults and all those living in the areas concerned.
The funding requested and acquired will be used to purchase these Artifacts in a legal manner and provide a means to preserve them in a secure area with proper housing.
We will also except donate artifacts, educational material such as books, film and displays.
After Acquiring a secured area and proper housing many items with be made available for public viewing, comment and study. One such secure facility considered is the Art Gerber buildings in Cannelton Indiana should they become available. The cost of these building is unknown but assumed to be expensive.
Any suggestions, concerns and comments are welcome.
A list of current spending of these funds will be available upon request.
Thank You, Rickey P. Brumfield
