Friends of Patrick O’Dwyer

Friends of Patrick O'Dwyer ("FPO") is a group formed to support Patrick O'Dwyer to be the leader of the grassroots movement that evolved into the political party called National Progressive Democrat ("NPD"). NPD under the leadership of Patrick will work very hard to take back Sierra Leone from the clutches of its incompetent and incapable leaders and to restore fellow Sierra Leoneans to their rightful place as First Class Citizens, by providing each individual with tangible improvement in their quality of life, particularly in the areas of health, education, an equitable justice system, agriculture and national securtity to name but a few services. Patrick is committed to free Sierra Leone from the vicious cycle of one corrupt and dictatorial government to another.

The two major political parties (SLPP and APC) that have ruled Sierra Leone since Independence have collectively bankrupted the country by neglecting the education system, promoted intimidation and fostered injustice. They have both demonstrated high levels of incompetence and widespread corruption in the management of key public institutions. In particular, the current government's key government institutions and personnel mismanaged the Ebola funds as demonstrated in the Auditor General's report of 2014.

Again, both major political parties have systematically utilised state institutions to name but a few; the Anti-Corruption Commission, the University system, National Revenue Authority, National Procurement Authority, National Social Security Insurance and Trust for their personal gains. The APC for its part is even more reprehensible in setting questionable political precedence by seeking to adopt Chinese communist tyrannical style of governance. While most of our nation's best minds appear content to play spectators as our nation is headed for the ruins, Patrick is not one to be a Spectator. Patrick is the "get it done right" kind of guy. He demonstrated passion and practical resolve when he co-founded StCAF (Save the Children of African Fund) that helped to rehabilitate thousands of children from the streets of Freetown, and the eastern part of the country after the rebel war. Patrick has been involved in developmental projects since the year 2000 in Sierra Leone participating in developing the telecommunications industry, marketing and trade, import and export supply management, and agriculture and agribusiness. Patrick O'Dwyer has the unique experiences and capacity to translate vision and policies into tangible deliverables that meet the intended/desired outcomes.He is a seasoned professional with combined 20 years of technical and management experience in the areas of information technologies, telecommunications, international trade, finance, project/program management, and corporate governance. Patrick has served as Project Manager for the US Department of Treasury-Bureau of Fiscal Services [under IRS]; he also embodies the US Army's training, tenacity, rigor and discipline. Mr O'Dwyer is unquestionably highly educated with a graduate degree and graduate certifications in the areas of communications technologies and project management.
