Did you know that:


- Almost one third of the food produced in the world for human consumption every get wasted

- Approximately 1.3 billion tonnes gets lost or wasted

- Food losses and waste amounts to roughly US$ 680 billion in industrialized countries and US$ 310 billion in developing countries

- Fruits and vegetables, plus roots and tubers have the highest wastage rates of any food



Yes, we have a big problem in this world. Perfectly good fresh produces get wasted due to shipping, distribution and storage process every day. However, the problem is the most of these fruits and vegetables are not actually bad or spoiled, it is simply these produces are considered “ugly” to sell.


Our start-up aims to solve this problem by freeze drying fruits and vegetables.

What is freeze drying, you might ask? Simple.

We freeze fresh fruits and vegetable first and then we dry. By doing so the fruits and vegetable retain 97% of their nutrients. And what is the best part? IT DOESN’T EXPIRE IN 20 YEARS and the same technology is used for foods to be consumed in space.

Fresh produce price is relatively high and many people in this world cannot afford, although fruits and vegetables contain the nutrients we need the most. By simply freeze drying the produces that are about to go to the trash just because they look ugly, we can drastically reduce the food wastage problem.
