Deyou is a 24 year old Congolese man who is seeking Political asylum in the US from the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He is currently being held in the GEO Ice Detention Center, in Adelanto, California. He is fleeing his country under threat of imprisonment or death for his opposition to the Current president Joseph Kabila's extended term in office. He and several members of his political party were attacked following the 2015 protests against Kabila, and his brother-in-law and friend were killed as a result. He fled to Brazil after this attack and migrated through Central American and Mexico to surrender himself at the border in July 2017. He has been held in detention since then, fighting his case.

Deyou was denied his asylum, and is currently appealing his case with the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).

However he was granted a bond of $7500, and has friend and family who are trying to support him to leave and fight his case outside of detention. Currently they have raised $1000, and, with the support of a bond company, only need to raise $2500 more to have him released.

Please help us FREE DEYOU. He has faced many dangers and trauma both fleeing his country and migrating through Central America, and deserves safety and peace of mind outside of the confines of detention.

Any and All donations are appreciated. Thank You for your support.
