My name is Freddy Aber and I am an 11th Grade student at Freeport High School. I was recently interviewed and accepted to participate as a member of the People to People Student Ambassador Program to Europe this summer. This program promotes international understanding while building leadership skills among our youth. This 20 day experience includes metings with government officials, interactions with other students my age, educational activities, and home stays with host familes. I am going to England, France, Germany, Belguim, Switzerland , Netherlands, and Austria. People to People Student Ambassadors and carefully interviewed and acepted and it is an honor to have been chosen to go on this life changing experience. Personally, i am loking forward to broadening my perpective of the world and gaining a better understanding of Western Euopean history. As an ambasador, I can earn high school and college credit because of the many educational elements in my program. I am currently seeking donors to help finance my trip to europe, and I hope I can count on your support. Incase you havent heard of the program allow me to give you some history about it. President Dwight D. Eisenhower founded the organization in 1956. He belived if people from different cultures could come together in peace and friendship, so eventually would countires. Since its founding, People to People has launched many interantional programs, including Sister Cities and Project HOPE. The program tuition is $7000 which includes all trandsportation, meals, activities, and acommodations. I am only asking for $1000 as I have raised a lot of the tuition through my own fundraisers and sponsors. I am asking contributors to donate any amount possible to help me achive my goal and go on a trip of a lifetime. Any amount would be grestly appreciated.
