Miguel has been off the heart and lung bypass machine since last Friday. The ventilator was taken out on Sunday. He is now with respirator support and medications. He is given antibiotics since he developed fever after the bypass machine was removed. He is still on the anti fungal medication. He is still in the ICU until he gets better.

PACEMAKER

They adjusted his pacemaker settings yesterday back to his usual settings and is being closely monitored. It was changed when he experienced Tachycardia (rapid heart beat) on the morning of Aug 15 and was rushed to emergency via an ambulance.

He have pacemaker since he was 2 years old. Post that surgery he suffered from heart block. Heart block is a disorder that occurs if an electrical signal is slowed or disrupted as it moves through the heart.

FUNGAL INFECTION and PNEUMONIA

He was cleared of pneumonia since last week. However the cause of the fungal blood infection is still unknown so the doctors advised that he may need to take it for another 2 months more.
