On October 22nd, the Bane family of Augusta, GA, lost Will Bane to his long battle with Alzheimer's. His enduring condition and lack of life insurance has made covering the cost of his memorial nearly impossible for a family who has always shared what they had with others.
Growing up next door to the Bane family, I had to get used to the idea that if I was going to hang around thier home, I was going to be part of the family. Every holiday since I can remember, myself and every other child in the neighborhood could rely on the Banes to provide food, shelter, and laughter for any and all who sought it. Soon, stray cats, rabbits, and children were moving in and out of the house, all beneficiaries of this family's exceptional warmth and generosity.
Now, with the passing of their patriach, the family is left with tremendous debt and lacks even the funds to ensure that Will gets the memorial he deserves. Though no rewards can be offered, any kindness is appreciated, no matter how great or small. 100% of the proceeds with go to Marcia and Angel Bane to cover their expenses for their husband and father's memorial.
