Hi, my name is Yuliia.
I find happiness through fulfilling my purpose, which is giving back to the community and to those in need. Volunteering makes it possible for me.
I have recently applied for a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in NYC. At this point of my life I find it crucial to focus on education that will help me to build up my successful future and will assist with launching my business career to great heights. However, besides being completely immersed into studies, I want to be a part of solving the issue of immigration that appears to be huge in NYC, specifically developing the feeling of “belonging” and providing practical assistance with adjusting process for the immigrants in NYC. My goal is helping immigrants and refugees though language access support (besides English I also speak Russian, Ukrainian and a bit German). “Over one-third of all New Yorkers were born abroad, the majority of them in Latin America and the Caribbean”, says the Main News.
I used to live in the southern state before and managed to build close relationships with many immigrants from Latin America; each of them has their story behind moving to the US. I know very well what it is like to feel foreign and as you do not belong. For this reason I seek to help as many people as I can with adjusting to a new living place.
However, this will become possible only if I fully dedicate my spare time to volunteering, not to make money in order to cover my tuition and basic living expenses; in other words, leaving behind the need to worry about financial stability in exchange for service opportunities.
I need every cent you can spare so that I may follow my goal and purpose. Any amount is appreciated.
Thank you so much for your attention and have a blessed day!
