Millions of people from western countries are visiting Africa for business reasons, as diplomats, tourist or sent by an NGO. There are rescue services to fly visitors out of the country in case of an emergency. Such fixed-wing jet flights are expensive and only affordable by a few.
Yet, there is no medical emergency rescue service in place when tragical accidents happen and medical incidences require immediate action to save Your life. In general, there has been no money and no public infrastructure to provide such services sustainably in any Sub-Sahara African country. In fact, the rate of deadly accidents is quite high in these countries for a number of specific reasons while some of those crashes happening with overspeeding buses and overloaded trucks show extreme sceneries.
In fact, our motivation to launch this project traces back to related personal experiences since many years ago which never really let us rest about it. Since recently, aviation technology has advanced to a level, which makes medical service flights possible, at afforable cost and flexible enough to start and land almost vertical and on almost any terrain.
MedEvac-Africa, as we named our project, will safe lifes when seconds count, in remote rural areas, national parks, farms, lodges, mountains, rivers or mining areas. The widespread use of mobile phones and Internet plays an important role in this development, too.
We count on Your support, Your donation and Your interest.
