The Fit and Fearless Run is a 5K and 10K walking/running event. Our event raises funds and awareness for a local and international charitable organization while also making a difference in the lives of participants. We believe that a fulfilling, and successful life begins within, and it starts with a healthy lifestyle. Whole, real nutrition combined with physical activity enables us to perform to our greatest ability in all areas of life. We aim to educate others on healthy living and make an impact locally and internationally. All proceeds from the Fit and Fearless race will be donated to a local charity and the international organization SOS Children's Villages.
Making a difference.
The Fit and Fearless Run aims to make a difference in the physical and mental health of the community as well as make an impact in those areas on both a local and international level. The Run was held first in 2013 and with little marketing and time, had over 100 participants and raised over $2,000 for charity with a $20 entry fee. This means that 98% of race fees went directly to SOS Children’s Villages.
The main goals of the event go beyond completing a distance or donating money to charity. We want people to feel the effects of physical movement on their bodies and what it means to be healthy from the inside out. When we feel good about ourselves, we are more likely to help and encourage others. By helping ourselves, we are more able and ready to improve the lives of others.
What we need.
Organizing a race is expensive! Race participants will receive a race bib, a race package, and entries into the door prizes. There will also be prizes for the first, second and third place prizes for the two distances. Food, water and healthy snacks will also be provided after the race to re-fuel, relax, and enjoy the booths at the race venue. We are currently looking for partnerships for race package items, prize items, food items and financial support for the race venue and other set-up costs. Every bit of support makes a difference! We want all proceeds to go to charity and we need help covering these costs.
Where will your donations go?
$25 can provide school supplies and learning tools.
$100 can provide healthy lunches for one month.
$200 can provide primary education to a child.
$500 can provide a home and healthy care to a child.
