First Novel

My name is Danial Bennett and I am looking to take a leave of absence in order to write my first novel. I grew up in a small town in New England, and inspired by a tragedy that happened there and an unsolved mystery, I plan to use my 28 year law enforcement career to write a modern gothic crime novella filled with one of a kind personal points of view and sly comedy relief. I will dedicate my book to the "story tellers" of my youth. In today's modern age, with less and less face to face interaction the art of storytelling is becoming a lost art... and treasure.
