Fiona Rizzi Fund for Cancer Treatment & Care

Update posted by Claire Missingham On Oct 12, 2021

‘Hi everyone, on behalf of both myself and Fiona we just want to say how grateful we are for all of your help and all your messages. It has been totally unexpected, we owe so much to all of you for not only contributing, but for your beautiful words of support and kindness. Fiona is incredibly strong, driven, and full of positive energy so I know she can get through anything. The love and support we’ve both received over the past two weeks has given her a lot of strength and comfort. Please keep her in your thoughts and send all of your positive vibes for this week as she heads into surgery and for the journey that lies ahead. We thank you with all our heart, really can’t stress that enough. We hope to see as many of you as possible on the other side of this journey. Until then, we send you lots and lots of love.’

Dear All,

Just to send you all an update on Fiona's treatment. From Thursday this week she will be isolating, ready to go to hospital on Monday 11th, ready for next day surgery. In the evening of the 11th we will be holding a collective meditation online in order to send our healing thoughts and energy to Fiona as she meets with her oncologist to discuss the next day. If you would like to join the group meditation please contact me here.

Post-surgery there will be another update regards next steps and chemotherapy plans.

Thank you for your loving donations and incredible messages. The plan is that on Monday 11th, I'll send Fiona our donations, and then she can read all the loving messages and feel supported and loved. If you can, please continue to share to your wider community so we may hit the target by then!

In addition, on 23rd October please save the date for a London fundraising event with top practitioners across the board offering their work as donations in a "raffle". It will be so good to all be in community together as well. I'll post updates here.

The meaning of the Sanskrit word "Satsang" means: those coming together in the essence of truth and devotion. So, thank you Satsang for your outpouring of devotion for this special woman.

Today we have had confirmation that Fiona has Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. In light of this news, Fiona + Nic have a heavy 6 months of treatment and surgery ahead, but, with our support we can make the process less challenging with our love and support.

Fiona + Nic have decided to get surgery quickly via the best surgeon for this type of cancer. Her surgeon Christina Fotopoulou is the top specialist in the UK, her fees reflect her skill and expertise. The plan is surgery then 6 months of chemotherapy and Avastin.

Please contribute to the fund as generously as is possible for you. This will help for the surgery costs, post op care, additional care such as Reiki and for their loss of income. We can make a difference by pulling together.

Let's hold Fiona and Nic in our continual light.

Claire x
