Fighting for my Children

My name is Jamaal, and I need your help. I am fighting to get my children in a stable and safe environment. My children, ages 6 and 8, currently live with their mother, who abuses alcohol, prescription medication, and according to the children, only lets them shower once per week.  I refuse to accept this situation and I am fighting to get my children to safety. The legal system is failing us. No matter how many times I have been denied visitation in accordance with a court order, I will never give up on my children. Several months ago, I was awarded full custody. My children flourished during the time they were with me, my wife and my two step-daughters. They finally knew a healthy and nurturing home environment, excelling in their new school, and finally establishing social connections with their peers. But no longer. The children's mother refuses to let me have a relationship with them. Her parents retained a very expensive attorney and got the case thrown out on a technicality. The children were taken from my home kicking, screaming, and sobbing from the loss of their father, yet again. They are suffering, and I need your help. Court fees to return the children could reach $20,000. I am working hard to support my wife, my step-daughters and my children. There is very little left over for expensive court battles. The children's mother thinks she can deter me with lengthy and expensive court battles. Nothing will stand in the way of me taking care of my children. My wife and I have set up this fundraiser because we refuse to give up. Anything you can give to help with the court fees will help me get one step closer to bringing my children to safety.
