Activity Agreement Project in Trafford:
We are currently working with a young person whose mum passed away suddenly whilst in Brighton two months ago. The family have very little money and some relatives but they have only managed to raise a very small amount between them.
The young person is only 14 and is 1 of 3 brothers, his mum and dad have been together for over 20 years. Dad is distraught, and the young person is trying his best to carry on and comfort his Dad through this sad time.
The death of his mum was a complete shock to the family and all he and the family wants is to be able to move forward and say their goodbyes to their mum.
They have not been able to bring Mum’s body back from Brighton, and she has been in the hospital morgue since she passed. We have explored options to pay for the funeral with the Department for Work and Pensions they have said the cost of the funeral would be covered up to a certain amount, but this does not include the cost of bringing mum back up to Manchester.
We are reaching out to anyone who would like to donate any amount to help towards giving this young person and the family, who is grieving for the loss of their mum, the chance to bury her in locally in Manchester so that they can visit her grave in the future.
Any donations will be used to help towards bringing mum back to Manchester.
