HELP!Failed Engine Stops my World

I know it is not a Tsunami or Earthquake.. But it might as well be!..

As I build my agency business, it has been necessary to have a “side Gig”: doing deliveries in the evenings, utilizing my own vehicle.

The side gig smooths out my cashflow for the short term giving me “space” to work/implement my life’s mission!

Of course being a critical required “tool”: my vehicle is well maintained; it has proven to be a super reliable “partner” (even in the harsh New England driving conditions).

That is until the radiator sprouted a HOLE in a major rainstorm, at night, on an Interstate…..

I was able to to “limp” it to safety (pouring drinking water into cooling system),

BUT major damage was done!!!(the engine does not run)..

It needs an engine transplant .

This costs $5700, which I will do, as all the other systems in the vehicle have been well maintained(including a recent installation of $1,000+ of new tires) and the future “service life” is long.

And the repair costs are significantly less than purchasing a new vehicle,

which is not appropriate for my current situation..

The radiator failure was a combination design flaw and age thing.

Besides being a essential tool for my “side gig”,

this vehicle is essential tool for mobility to client/prospect meetings,

as well as family responsibilities.
