Empowering Education

We at Ilungelo Lami are striving to make a difference and give back to the communities by offering disadvantaged students the best quality education possible in a safe learning environment that has the necessities to equip these students to be better, be more and achieve more so that they can help to improve South Africa and make it a better country, thus we would like to request funding from you in order for us to help these disadvantaged government schools with Ilungelo Lami's project we call, Empowering Education.

We at Ilungelo Lami feel that every child deserves the right to education and learn in an environment that is safe, secure, equipped with up to date fundamentals and caters to what they need, hence we have started this project and are looking at making Guzana Secondary School in the Stanger area as our pilot project to, eventually expand this project to being able to start doing the same for at least 3 – 10 schools a year, bringing South Africa’s previously disadvantaged communities intuitions that shall aid future generations in rising out of poverty and empowering themselves to achieve more by equipping them with the tools and fundamentals needed in the education sector. These schools are going to also become one of the pillars in each of their respective communities which can serve as more than just a school; such as youth centers, churches, community centers and much more.

Our project is also linked to the Mandla Mayise Foundation which helps to supply additional education and support to underprivileged communities and schools.
