Emotions growing as eruptions continue flowing

The sweetest heart breaking voice i hear every mornig is my daughter wanting to go back home. As her eyes slowly open each morning, she reaches for me yawning "mom can we please go home?" Fighting back tears forcing a smile i say "baby im so sorry but Pele took her land back, remember?" The hardest part is her not truly knowing we can never go back. I live on the big island of Hawaii and me and my daughter are just 2 of the many people devastated by one of the active volcanos erupting. It all happened so fast i dont evin remember evacuating, forced to leave verything behind. Displaced we are staying with friends until the end of the month when they move. Its almost a surreal event that im still trying to wake up from. Anything at this point will help. God bless and thank you for taking your time to read this.
