Emily’s Lyme Treatments

Chronic Lyme Disease causes immobilizing joint pain, neurological damage

and personality change, making work difficult to impossible many days.

The disease is cruel, unpredictable and invisible. Big life plans take a

back seat, just to be able to afford the very costly treatments, many

are not covered by insurance.

Spindler-Richardson came down with Lyme disease. We lived in Missouri

and at that time few doctors believed there were Lyme strains in

Missouri. They were wrong and so the disease was not properly treated

and became a chronic condition.

Emily has been on massive levels

of antibiotics and other meds and herbals with a very limited diet for a

solid 3 years, but they've stopped being effective and she is not able

to work right now to help pay for IV treatments and a move to be nearer a

specialist in the field who can help her find alternatives to

medications that are harming her immune system. Time is critical so that

the disease doesn't do further neurological damage.
