Campaign Story
Due to the ongoing conflict, there are many needs in different places in Ukraine. Which is a little overwhelming with the mass amounts of reporting saturating the media right now.
This fund will serve to support grassroots activism with a community-wide people-to-people approach in Ukraine. In this, there will be an effort for absolute transparency as to where the funds are flowing and what they have achieved/purchased. This fund will service my community (Haisyn) for shoring up first aid, medical equipment, etc., and also other communities or individuals where it is needed most, including:
1) families who are helping refugees as they migrate West (to purchase supplies, food, clothing, fuel, etc.),
2) refugees and displaced persons crossing borders (for travel costs-including train, bus, car; housing/accommodation, food, equipment, etc.) and,
3) Ukrainian troop funds (fuel, first aid kits, medical equipment, saws, nails, axes, etc.).
Any amount can help and no amount is too little or too big in this scenario. The Ukrainian hryvnia is approximately 29.98UAH = 1USD (as of 2/26), so a donation of $50-100 would immensely help one family of four (approximately).
If you are uncomfortable donating to this platform, there are many others that can support ongoing work in the country including: Razom, Come Back Alive, SOS Ukraina, United Help Ukraine and Revived Soldiers Ukraine. ICRC (International Red Cross and Red Crescent) or Doctor's Without Borders are also great options for donation, however neither are able to enter the country as the situation is currently too dangerous and unstable.
If you can spare anything, please consider doing so. As a former Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine, it's unfathomable to have to write this in the first place. Many thanks for your time and consideration in advance.

First Community Donation
Update posted by Kayla King at 07:34 pmA huge, heartfelt thanks to all who have donated so far! We have raised approximately 20% of our goal. These funds will be divided equally between refugees to the west (for transportation, food, accomodation) and my former community to purchase much-needed medical supplies, oxygen and supplies for military preparation. Again,
