During the night of February 15th 2015 our rescue team was contacted in regards to a very sweet yet skinny and scared dog who was found wandering alone in Pierce County Washington. Once he was found the rescuers were horrified. Full grown this boy only weighs about 29lbs, his collar was embedded into his neck and had to be cut off of him. After three baths, a lot of baby talk, where he achieved his new name, Monkey Pup (He answered to it and the rescuers went with it) he was fed and allowed a peaceful rest. Monday February 16th he was taken to the vet. He is estimated to be in the 7 to 9 years category, what looked like hip dysplasia is badly healed injuries from being hit by a car, and a torn tear duct in his eye. However, he is now part of the Storm Rescue Family and we will not turn our back on him. Currently this sweet senior is in foster care and once we can afford it, will have eye surgery. The torn tissue of his eye is extremely painful and we do not want Monkey Pup to lose his eye!!! We need help. We know his medical expenses ALONE will be over $1500.00 and looking more like $1800.00. To save this senior and allow him the golden years he deserves we are reaching out for donations! Every cent counts. If you can we also ask that you share his story. If each person sends what they can even if it's a $1 we can raise this money in no time! By sharing his story and this fundraiser link we can do it even faster. Monkey Pup IS IN PAIN. We are hoping to raise the money for his surgery so he can begin to heal both mentally and physically!
